Sales and Marketing Committee
The Sales and Marketing Committee held its inaugural session during August 2002. The purpose of the committee is to tackle the issues of the industry and turn them into challenges, which can be met.
Developing an industry consensus on waste management, refuting the campaigns of mis-information about PVC and focusing on the positive benefits of the material represent the primary aims of the team.
An early re-branding of the Windows Group with a new logo and strapline together with a new web-site are examples of the early initiatives to communicate the important messages to the industry and ultimately attract new members to the BPF Windows Group.
The web-site effectively establishes the BPF Windows Group as a 'consumer and industry friendly' source of information about PVC materials for their use in windows, doors & conservatories, so that myths can be rapidly dispelled before they take root.
The Group can readily draw on the resources of the British Plastics Federation, as a whole, in terms of expertise, technical advice and informed opinion on such relevent matters as Building Regulations, European Legislation and Vinyl 2010.
Our challenge is to promote the activities of the Windows Group and to demonstrate to those members (existing and potential) that we can not only provide a 'blue chip' database for customers, but also build confidence within the industry for high quality and reliable service in this important market place.
